Term 4 Classes
Acting For the Camera: Monologues
This Term is devoted to ‘Acting for the Camera’. In a controlled studio setting, students are introduced to respective ‘camera techniques’ that complement modern professional practice.
The first 5 weeks of this term concentrates on monologues and speeches specifically written for film and/or television. Each student chooses two contrasting monologues:
Each student prepares these monologues for rehearsal in class. These monologues will also be filmed and immediate feedback given in regard to ‘Acting for the Camera’.
The final form and delivery of these monologues will form part of each student’s individual Show Reel that will be given out at the end of Term 4.
Acting For the Camera: Scenes
The second 5 weeks concentrates on scenes from the world of film and television. Each student chooses a 2-person scene to work with another, to prepare for rehearsals in class. These scenes will be filmed and immediate feedback provided.
The final form and delivery of these scenes will form part of each student’s individual Show Reel that will be given out at the end of Term 4.
On completion of these 4 Terms, each student will be provided with:
- • A Show Reel that may be used to send to Agents and Casting Agents, and other stakeholders.
- • A Certificate of Attendance and Completion.
